Music and Performing Arts Programs

Students come to the music classroom for general music classes starting in Pre-K and continuing through 8th grade. In the early childhood program, students learn to sing confidently, match pitch, keep a steady beat, play classroom instruments, and move and dance to music. We also build our listening skills and work on music literacy.

In second grade, students start playing ukuleles and in 3rd grade, they have the opportunity to join the 3rd-8th grade chapel choir. The choir rehearses after school and sings at special Masses and events.

Students in 6th-8th grade have the option of participating in the Visitation Academy Drama Club.
The Drama Club puts on a full musical production each spring.

Lauren Perilli, Owner/Artistic Director of Dimensions On Stage and Dimensions in Dance, came to give an audition workshop for 6th-8th grade students. Students learned tools to help them with a variety of auditions, public speaking, and presentation skills.

Drama Club students learn acting, singing, and theater tech skills. The set, costume, prop, and lighting design are all done by student-led tech teams.
